Free live music returns to Raphael Park every Sunday afternoon this month, with three sessions still to come on 16, 23 and 30 August. Havering Council’s Summer Sessions Live runs at the park’s bandstand from 2pm to 4pm each Sunday throughout August, free to attend and with no booking needed. (Havering Council, 29 July 2026)

The council says each week features a fresh line-up of local musicians, and the sessions are open to all ages, so you can drop in at any point during the afternoon rather than arriving for a fixed start. Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair or a picnic blanket. The full programme of performances is published on the council’s Summer Sessions page.

Councillor Keith Prince AM, Leader of Havering Council, said in the announcement: “Summer Sessions Live celebrates our parks, green spaces and the local talent that helps bring them to life.” The council notes that Raphael Park has a long history of hosting live performances at its bandstand.

If you are looking for something free to do with the family on the remaining Sundays of the school holidays, this is a two-hour session you can treat as a drop-in: no tickets, no booking, and no fixed arrival time.
